# SOC Airdrop Mechanism

Socrates will release a total amount of 10 billion SOC tokens, among which 50% (5 billion SOC tokens) will be allocated for user airdrops, distributed in stages. The goal is to achieve a 1:1 distribution ratio when the number of real users reaches 5 billion.

**Airdrop release mechanism**

To better meet market demand, SOC tokens will not be linearly released. They will be dynamically released based on the market supply and demand, SOC value, and user growth. For example, in the early stages of the project, the release ratio may be relatively high to encourage user participation, while as the user base faces saturation, the release volume per unit/user will be reduced accordingly. This dynamic adjustment mechanism aims to maintain market balance for SOC tokens and protect user interests.

*In the first airdrop of 2023, Socrates airdropped 410 million SOC tokens. Starting from November 2024, the reserved SOC for user airdrops is 4.59 billion.*

**Points allocation principles**

The system assigns weight to various user activities on the platform, converting these into points. SOC tokens are then allocated based on the proportion of points each user accumulates during each airdrop period. Once each round of SOC airdrop is completed, points will reset and begin accumulating anew.

**User activities are classified into two categories: Web2 and Web3**

**Web2 activities**

These include actions like posting text, audio, comments, or video; participating in debates and voting; importing contact lists and inviting new users to register, and so on.

**Web3 activities**

These include injecting airdrops into posts, claiming airdrops, minting content (such as text, images, music, and video) as NFTs, minting NFT avatars or accounts, conducting NFT transactions, participating in token trades, and sending airdrops within IM group chats.

The weight of Web3 activities is higher than that of Web2 activities. The frequency and types of interactions users have on the platform are converted into points, which determine the amount of SOC airdropped to each user during each period.

**Impact of the Active Real User Growth Index on SOC airdrops**

The **Active Real User Growth Index** is the key metric for SOC airdrop releases. Even if users are highly active in Web2 and Web3 activities, SOC tokens will not be released unless the number of active real users reaches 100 million. The faster the growth of active real users, the quicker the SOC airdrop release.
