# \[July 23] Announcement of Socrates SOC Contract Upgrade

To the Socrates community,

Thank you for your continued support and trust in the Socrates project. To further upgrade our project planning, meet the growing market demand, and drive project development, we are planning to adjust the total issuance of our SOC token and provide a compensatory airdrop to our SOC holders.

We will take a snapshot at 08:00 (UTC+0) on 31 July, 2024. SOC holders will receive a compensatory airdrop equivalent to 99 times their current holdings to ensure that the value and proportion of their total assets remain unaffected.

The airdrop will be completed within two days after the snapshot. This airdrop is supported by the BingX, BitMart, and LBank exchanges. Functionalities such as deposit, withdrawal, and trading will be temporarily suspended until the airdrop is completed. Please refer to the announcements from each exchange for the specific time and restrictions.
